Best High Chair in this price range! June 14, 2007 Reviewer:  Mom of Littlecharmer (NJ)  See all my reviews >

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before we decided on this one. I was so thankful this product works so well, that I thought I should write a review myself. First we actually bought an Evenflo and after checking it out in the store again, decided it was just too unstable and I didn't like the reviews (the Majesty). Our baby is a big boy at 6 months. He is already around 27 inches. I don't know why it seemed like this but the Rainforest chair and this one should be the same model but he just didn't seem to fit in the Rainforest one as well. This was confusing-but we decided to try this one out anyway. I didn't really want to waste money on a model that had toys that would just be distracting or he'd get tired of. I even saw reviews that stated the Rainforest model's seat cover is hard to remove tough stains. I didn't like the straps or extra head cushion on the Rainforest either-again unessessary stuff. This one was a perfect fit for baby and the straps are in my opinion the best ones out of the Chicco, Evenflo and Graco models. Graco would have been our second choice though. The Chicco was a really nice chair but our sons knees already hit the edge of the seat! Where would his legs go in the next few months? Graco's Meal Time had a second "tray" that went over the legs and was not something you could remove so that would be fustrating. This chair is very well made. I think Fisher Price really knows children and well, the mechanics of making a product last. The plastic is even a better quality. This chair moves up and down with ease and the tray has a good amount of adjustability. Our baby cannot sit upright yet so in the far recline he can have a bottle, the middle notch for solids and I put him in the most upright to get used to the tray and put the teether on the tray to occupy him as I make the meal. He doesn't really slump over but he can 'teeth' the tray. It says not to use the first notch anyway if baby does this. He LOVES this chair by the way! He gets excited every time we put him in it! The crotch post I found is a must-have because you don't want the baby squirming out of his seat before you have a chance to put the harness or tray on. The tray is easy to clean and the seat cover is comfty. I don't know why people complain about getting the wrong seat cover print. Yeah it's nice, but so is the other print that you wind up getting. Besides no ruffles to clean. Seat removes easily and wipes easy. Folds easy and rolls very nicely. Locks on wheels are fine. Don't know about him being able to take the tray off yet or put food into little places but I guess that will happen with any chair out there. If they take the tray off. simply use it as a booster chair if toddler still fits! I didn't give it four stars because I too, would have liked to see an adjustable foot rest--why don't they do that anyway?? Very attractive no-fuss chair for this price range and we are pleased with our purchase.

Also FITS UP TO 50LBS NOT 37LBS!!!

great chair July 19, 2007 Reviewer:  new mom "farrah" (arkansas)  See all my reviews >

I recently ordered this online for my son for $79.99 then found it on clearance in the store for $55 so I guess they're discontinuing it. I was very pleased to save $25 so look around before you order online.
The chair was very easy to put together. We've only been using it about a week but it's been great thus far. My son is 5 months old and 20 pounds and has no problems fitting into the seat. There is plenty of room for his legs to grow and enough space between the tray and his belly that I don't foresee that being a problem either. It's very easy to buckle him in. i like that the divider is in the seat rather than attached to the tray. It makes it easier to get him all fastened in without worrying about him slipping out.
The tray slides on and off very easily. It has the extra detachable tray as well so that you can get two uses in before having to wash. The fabric is very easy to wipe down...we're on carrots now so it's been put to the test.
There are both height adjustments for the seat/tray and the seat also reclines.
The only complaint that I have is that you can't attach the tray to the back of the highchair when not in use. Other than that, I think it's a great chair and anticipate lots and lots of good use. It's a great chair and quite a bargain to boot!

Great high Chair February 12, 2008 Reviewer:  Brittany Schopen "New mommy" Real Name (Eugene OR)  See all my reviews >

Such a great high chair! My daughter is almost 7 months old and we have been using it for 3 months now! At first she was a little uncomfortable because she was so small but the recline option was great for her! Now she loves it! She even sits in it when i am doing the dishes because she can be up high with me! The only thing that some other high chairs have that this one doesnt is that it folds up really nice, this one folds but not like some other ones! But besides that it is such a great chair and a great price on top of it!! Would recommend to anyone!!

Good basic High Chair January 21, 2008 Reviewer:  K&E's Mom (San Antonio, TX USA)  See all my reviews >

I've used this for approx. two weeks now. The assembly was fairly easy and straight forward. The height adjustment is a big plus and the three seperate reclining positions have already come in handy. This is my second child and we didn't use a chair with the first but it is a lifesaver with our second. I think this is a good basic chair that is easy to use and store.

Great Highchair with a Great Price January 2, 2008 Reviewer:  Stay at home mom (Colorado)  See all my reviews >

I researched all sorts of high chairs when I was shopping for one, and this one always came very highly rated. So I was very pleased when I started using it that it lives up to all its expectations. The set up took about 20 minutes by myself, and it had quite a few parts to connect, but the instructions were easy to follow. It folds up very compact, and the tray is easy to clean. I hook her bibs on the bar in the back so I always have them at hand. It rolls very easily and is narrow enough that I can navigate it around corners from room to room (when she's not in it of course). The vinyl cover is easy to wipe clean and the three seat positions are good for changing her angle when she's eating or drinking, or just playing. My mom even bought the same highchair to use when we are at her house. It comes in several cute patterns.

Exactly what we needed October 26, 2007 Reviewer:  Kol Eishah "Mom, Musician and Teacher" (NY)  See all my reviews >

This sturdy chair is adaptable for all sizes, easy to clean, and easy to store. The wheels (which lock in place) make it easy to move around the house, the dishwasher tray is handy for easy clean up, it is infinitely adjustable with 5 heights and 3 chair angles, and the folding feature makes sure it takes up much less space that others.

Great High Chair--Even better price! August 23, 2007 Reviewer:  California Mom See all my reviews >

I love this chair. I bought it at my Target store, and had it assembled in about an hour. The assembly wasn't difficult just a little time consuming. The things I really like about it are the simple design, wipeable padded seat cover and attachable toy ring. The toy ring is great because I can attach almost any of my baby's toys and that helps to keep him occupied while I am making dinner, and then when it's time for him to eat I just remove the clip on ring.

The tray is very simple to remove (even one handed). And the seat recline is easy to do with one hand. Overall I'm not sure what the $200 models have that this one doesn't (or that you would want). The overall look of this chair is not as "babyish" as some of the other graco/evenflo ones and yet your not paying for a name "peg perego". My mother in law has the chicco polly chair for when we visit, and I don't mind it, but I am really glad I didn't spend my money on it.
Overall I am really happy with this highchair and my baby seems very happy in it as well.

great high chair very happy :) July 20, 2007 Reviewer:  MamaT See all my reviews >

We just bought this high chair today for our 6 month old and I already love it just after two uses! Ours is the slightly different print others were talking about, but it is still cute. It was on clearance in the store [...] (and this was the last one) so we were really happy. We had a baby trend high chair already which was very sturdy and had the same features, but my daughter is a little small for her age, and that one was way too big for her (the tray was eye level) so we had to get rid of it [...]. We went store to store sitting her in lots of different high chairs and this one fit her the best by far! A lot of the more expensive ones felt pretty cheap and flimsy, but this one isnt too bad and is better than a lot of others. Very easy to adjust height and straps, recline(don't need to but tried it out), clean/wipe down, fold, etc I think when it says coverts to a booster it means the tray come off and height adjusts to fit under the table. A place to hang the tray would have been nice, but not a lot of others have that for this price and we didnt have that before anyway. Very happy to have found a nice high chair with plenty of features for the price, the clearance price was an added bonus too. Check your store before buying online!

Very safe and adjustable chair July 18, 2007 Reviewer:  Jennifer (USA)  See all my reviews >

I read a lot of reviews on several websites before deciding on this chair. It does seem to be a good chair, but more than we need. On the positive side, these seem to be very safe chairs. The harness system is easy to adjust and it is easy to remove the straps for washing. The chair cover is also very easy to remove. The wheels are nice and it is really easy to adjust the height and the recline. However, there are some negatives. The tray has two pieces so that the top tray can go in the dishwasher. This seems like a great idea, but food always gets between the two pieces so they both need to be washed anyway. One piece would be much easier. Although the harness system is safe, I find it to be a huge hassle. It's not particularly easy to get the kids in and out and they are always chewing on the straps, which means that they need to be washed often. In retrospect, I would have purchased a much simpler chair. However, we did not start feeding our twins "real food" until they were 6 months old and were able to sit on their own. I could see how this would be a great chair for kids that will use it before they can sit.
